Atlas mountains Treks are organized by Atlas Trek Experience. Our three-day Atlas journey begins with a transport from your hotel to Imlil at Imi Oughlad (1,450m), where you will meet your Berber muleteer and guide. The first day will consist of a more leisurely acclimatization hike in Ouirgane National Park. The environment is more soft at this location, with copper green soil and juniper trees. Tinzert Gite is where you will spend the night. The walk takes around four hours.

After breakfast, you’ll ascend from the Valley to the beautiful Azzaden Valley. The panoramas begin with a rushing mountain stream backed by dense walnut woodlands that winds its way up to Toubkal and her sister peaks at the Valley’s top. Spend the night at a village Gite in Ait Aissa. Time required for walking: 5-6 hours.

The excursion today begins with a breathtaking rise out of the Azzadene Valley. You’ll ascend the valley to Tizi Oussem and then descend down the Tizi n Mzik pass to Imlil (2489m). Following lunch in Imlil, you will be taken back to Marrakech, where you will have plenty of time in the evening to explore the city. Approximate walking time: 4-5 hours. We appreciate your interest in joining us on a guided Atlas Mountains hike with an established travel company. At the conclusion of the walk, we will transport you to your accommodation in Imlil, Marrakech, or to the airport, thus concluding our three-day Berber towns tour.

  • Fully supervised by a mountain guide from the area. Transfers to and from High Atlas Gites and private residences. Cook and muleteer. All meals included for two nights and three days in Berber valleys/villages. Lunch, supper, and breakfast.
