ITINERARY FOR 3-DAY ATLAS VALLEY TREK

This is a multi-day trek to substantial altitude conducted by skilled guides, involving several hours of trekking each day over rough terrain. This endeavor will leave you with memories that last a lifetime. It will be difficult, but it will be incredibly rewarding.

DAY 1: MARRAKESH - IMI OUGHLAD - TINZERT

You'll leave the 4x4 or minivan on the road leading up to Imlil at Imi Oughlad (1,450m), where you'll meet your Berber muleteer and guide. The first day will be a gentler acclimatization trek through the Ouirgane National Park. The landscape is softer here, with copper green soil and juniper trees. Overnight at Tinzert, a little rustic Berber village, at the Gite. Walking time is around 4 hours.

DAY 2: TINZERT - AZZADEN VALLEY (AIT AISSA)

After breakfast, you'll climb out of the valley and make your way to the breathtaking Azzaden Valley. The vistas begin with a gushing mountain stream flanked by thick walnut forests heading up to Toubkal and her sister peaks at the Valley's top. In Ait Aissa, spend the night in a village Gite. Walking time: 5-6 hours.

DAY 3: AIT AISSA - TIZI N MZIK - IMLI

Today's adventure begins with a spectacular ascent out of the Azzadene Valley. You'll climb the valley to Tizi Oussem, then ascend to Tizi n Mzik (2489m) before dropping into Imlil. After lunch in Imlil, you will be driven back to Marrakech, where you will have plenty of time to explore the city in the evening. Approximately 4-5 hours of walking.
