ITINERARY FOR 2-DAY ATLAS VALLEY TREK

We provide Atlas Mountains treks and vacations that are tailored to your specific needs based on the number of days available and the size of your group (from solo travellers to large groups). In Morocco, we have some fantastic trekking opportunities. We can customize your Atlas hiking adventure, or you may select from one of our pre-planned itineraries.

DAY 1: IMLIL (1740M) - TIZI N’TAMATERT (2300M) - IMENANE VALLEY - TACHEDDIRT (2400M) OR TINERHOURHINE VILLAGES (2200M)

We meet our trekking group after a transfer to the settlement of Imlil. We begin our trek towards Tinerhourhine in the Imenane Valley through Tizi n'Tamatert at 2279m, passing via Tamatert hamlet. Lunch will be served at the pass's summit, which provides a spectacular panoramic view of the High Atlas peaks. We continue to Ouanesekra-Tamguist after lunch. Later, we'll arrive in Tinerhourhine (1600m), where we'll spend the night in a gite or homestay. Approximate walking time: 4 hours.

DAY 2: IMENANE VALLEY - AGUERSIOUAL PASS (2100M) AND OUDITE PASS (2200M) - VALLEY OF AZZADENE

We leave Tinerhourhine and stroll into the Imenane Valley. We trek to the historic Berber settlement of Ikkis on the left side of it (1700m). We go to the Tizi n'Aguersioual Mountain Pass (2000m). Lunch will be given near the Matate village (2000m). Another 2 hours of walking will get us to the town of At Assa (1800m) OR we may remain overnight at Tizi Oussem, where we can utilize the community hammam (traditional steam bath) Walking time: 6 hours.

DAY 3: AZZADENE VALLEY - TIZI MZIK - IMLIL - MARRAKECH

We begin our hike at At Assa and make our way to Tizi Oussem settlement (1900m). From there, we go to the Tizi Mzik mountain pass (2400m) and descend to the town of Mzik, where we eat lunch before returning to Imlil. Then we return to Marrakech, bringing our three days of trekking in Morocco to a close. Walking time is around 4 hours. End of our 2023 Atlas Mountains Trekking.
